Our first project and the beginnings of what is now
Brafford at Home…
Lindsey & Andy live in a 1952 Cape Cod-style home that Andy’s grandfather owned for decades. His grandfather passed early 2020, and Lindsey & Andy decided to buy their family home to begin making it their own.
It had blue carpet, lime green walls, a crumbling foundation, and all the charm of a mid-century time capsule — in the literal sense. By June 2020, they started renovating, and have spent the last 5 years turning it into what it is today.

Our second project and official launch of business…
Dear Main Cottage
The Dear Main cottage project began nearly a year ago when my clients came to me with a vision: to preserve the historic charm of their 1800s home while thoughtfully weaving in modern comforts.
From the start, they wanted color to play a meaningful role, creating warmth and personality without overwhelming the original character. Together, we carried that palette cohesively through every room, blending old and new in a way that feels both timeless and lived-in.

"We were so excited to work with Lindsey of Brafford at Home on our cottage renovation. We had decided to completely revive an 1870 home that needed some major love. It was apparent from the start that she had such a natural talent to pull any space together, most especially a cozy one. Her eye for every angle was meticulous and intentional. It was clear that she had a vision from the start without hesitation, and it was executed brilliantly in the end! She carefully sourced a blend of new and old, vintage pieces with modern touches to create the coziest space in every corner of the house. We also provided some inspiration in terms of color palette, and she ran with it seamlessly, expanding upon it further than we could've ever imagined. Everything in the house was arranged in a balanced way, from moody touches to bright and airy moments. From large furniture pieces to small decor accents, each piece was perfectly selected and sourced to complement the other. We also had a lot of fun watching her develop a design plan for individual rooms, each with its own personality, yet coming together in unison as one unique and vibrant home space. One of our favorite things about working with Lindsey is her genuine love and excitement for sourcing and organizing a space top to bottom. You could tell throughout the process how much she cares about each detail, every moment of a home. She is confident in her styling, and she's always searching for the 'perfect piece'. We love her passion surrounding that part of the design process!
